JC Marcone (Canton '13) scored the first goal of his college career in Southern New Hampshire's loss to Le Moyne last Saturday, April 19. Fellow Hockomock alum Matt McIntire (Milford '13) made his first collegiate appearance in the same game, saving two shots and allowing five goals.
Olivia Kenyon (Canton '11) has pitched to a 12-12 record for the Newbury College softball team, allowing an ERA of 3.44 and striking out 108 batters over 166 2/3 innings. She picked up a win on Saturday, pitching a complete game and striking out five while allowing just one run.
Goalie Anna Verspille (Franklin '10) and Ellie Getchell (Franklin) have led the defense for the Springfield College lacrosse team, which sits at 5-2 in the NEWMAC, good enough for second place. The team finishes their season on Saturday against Babson, and has already qualified for the conference playoffs.
