Team | Record | News |
---|---|---|
1. Foxboro | 21-3 | The Warriors reached the D2 South final and lost only three games all season by a combined 17 points. With a core of Kristen Bortolotti, Ashley Sampson, Cassidy Harrison, and Lily Sykes returning, Foxboro could be right back in the hunt for the South title again next year. |
2. North Attleboro | 17-6 | The Rocketeers won a third straight league title and finally broke the playoff drought before being knocked out by Duxbury. While Perron and Beaupre will be missed, North is another team with young players that will be right back in contention next winter. |
3. Franklin | 19-6 | The Panthers reached another sectional final, this time in the Central, before falling to top seed Wachusett. The emergence of Jillian Spolidoro as a top scorer made Franklin as dangerous as any team in the league. |
4. Mansfield | 19-6 | Fourth seems harsh for the Hornets who reached the D1 South semi, but Mansfield will expect to be much higher next year with so many young players coming back including all-stars Jen Peel and Caroline Maher. |
5. Attleboro | 14-9 | The Bombardiers will be disappointed with how the season ended, but with Emily Houle and Sarah Deyo returning, Coach Patch has two stars to build around for next season's run at the tournament. |
On the edge: Oliver Ames (12-9)
