Hock 5 - Girls Basketball (Updated 3/12/14)
Team | Record | News |
---|---|---|
1. Franklin | (15-7) | Even without star player Lexi Martin, the Panthers advanced to the D1 Central semifinal before losing to highly ranked Holy Name. Almost all of the deepest roster in the Hock, including the Pisanis, Aubrie Kutil, and of course Martin, will be back next year for Franklin. - JP |
2. Sharon | (15-9) | League MVP Karlie O'Driscoll and an improving supporting cast that included sure-handed point guard Lily Abarbanel and sophomore spark plug Ashley Mukasa helped the Eagles surprise some people by reaching the sectional final. Sharon can be proud of where it ended up after a tumultuous, injury-plagued season. - JP |
3. Attleboro | (17-7) | Looking at the season as a whole, the Lady Bombardiers have a lot to be proud of finishing 17-7 in highly competitive Kelley-Rex division. This is a talented senior class Attleboro will graduate but the future is bright for Missy Traversi and the talent she returns. - RL |
4. North Attleboro | (15-8) | The Rocketeers' postseason run didn't last nearly as long as they had hoped, but with back-to-back league titles in their back pocket and both Melissa Beaupre and Danielle Perron set to run the back court again next season, North could be looking at a three-peat. - RL |
5. King Philip | (15-7) | The Warriors had top seed Braintree at just 24-18 at halftime in the second round of the state tournament before the Wamps pulled away after halftime. It was a great bounce back year for KP under first-year coach Martin Crowley. - JP |
On The Edge: Foxboro (12-11), Mansfield (15-7)
