Hock 5 - Baseball (Updated 6/19/14)
Presented by RBI Academy
Team | Record | News |
---|---|---|
1. Oliver Ames | (17-5) | At the end of the day, OA was the best team in the league this year. Even better for the Tigers is that they return ace Brendan Welch and lead-off man Michael Ferrera, both of which were top players in the entire league this year. The Tigers will be the team to be in 2015. - RL |
2. Attleboro | (15-7) | Led by Hock MVP Max Lancaster and a large group of seniors, the Bombardiers stormed back for a dramatic walk-off win in the opening round of the playoffs before losing a 14-inning thriller with state finalist Norwood in the second round. - JP |
3. Stoughton | (11-10) | The Black Knights were the preseason #1 this year and with a ton of talent, they certainly showed why at times throughout the season. This senior class has a lot to be proud and has set the bar high going forward. - RL |
4. North Attleboro | (11-10) | The Rocketeers started the season on fire, but could not keep momentum going and finished by losing nine of its final 11 games. A poor first inning against Plymouth South doomed North in the opening round of the tourney. - JP |
5. Taunton | (11-11) | Remember April 14th? It was when the Tigers dropped to 0-6. Remember June 2nd? It was when the Tigers hosted a D1 playoff game. It was a rough start but Taunton stormed back to become a serious threat, including an upset of Quincy in the playoffs. With sophomore Luke Figueira back next season, the Tigers have an edge in pitching. - RL |
On The Edge: Franklin (11-11)
