Hock 5 - Boys Lacrosse (Updated 6/22/13)
Team | Record | News |
---|---|---|
1. Canton | (18-2) | The Bulldogs didn’t end their season how they wanted to, but it was a historic run nonetheless. They picked up their first win over Foxboro in six years, they only lost one regular season game, and they were seeded fourth in the D3 East playoffs. Pat Ward was the leading scorer in a group of very talented seniors. - RL |
2. Foxboro | (12-8) | Led by second team All-American Luc Valenza, the Warriors battled the adversity of having three wins taken away and still managed to refocus and win a tough road playoff game against Walpole. Although the season ended against top seed Hingham in the next round, it was another solid season for the program. - JP |
3. Franklin | (13-7) | The Panthers pushed top seed Lincoln-Sudbury to the brink in round two before the Warriors pulled away in the fourth quarter. It was a sign of how good Franklin could be, as the league champs struggled all season against non-league teams but still boasted some of the best talent in the Hock. - JP |
4. North Attleboro | (8-9) | Despite finishing with a losing record, it was a historic season for the Rocketeers, as they made their first ever trip to the postseason. You can see the dedication from the players and that’s a good sign for the program. - RL |
5. Milford | (7-11) | Eric Overdahl reached a personal milestone with his 300th career point, but the Hawks inconsistent play held them back from tournament qualification. Another star performer was goalie Matt McIntyre, whose goals against stats belied how well he played this year. - JP |
