Why do I play softball?
I play softball for the competition. Ever since I was young, I loved to compete. I also love it because it is a team sport and everyone has to have faith in their teammates. Because of the faith a great sense of unity is created which is a great team atmosphere.
Why is 2013 going to be a great year for Milford High School?
It will be a good year for us, because we want to shock the hock. It's been the motto among student athletes this whole year at school. We also have great team chemistry so I think that will propel us into the post season.
What is your favorite Milford Softball memory so far?
It would probably be the state championship last year. Finally finishing an undefeated season with a win is the best feeling ever.
What were your emotions in your first varsity game?
I remember expecting to play but I wasn't expecting to pitch so when I got to the field and Coach Macchi told me I was pitching I had to get mentally ready quick. I was nervous but I was really excited to be pitching.
What makes playing for Milford High School so special?
I think the coaches here really care about everyone and are genuinely good people. Coach Macchi is the best high school coach I could have asked for and he has been a large part of making high school softball fun for me.
When you aren't practicing what are you usually doing?
If I'm not practicing I'm most likely doing homework or sleeping. A lot of the time though I'll just pick up softballs (or any other circular object) around my house and spin them to myself.
What are your top three pregame pump up songs?
Most of the time I will just listen to a Pandora station on the way to games. The variety of music depends on my mood that day. Some of my popular stations are Ying-Yang Twins, 2 Chainz, Jason Aldean, and Dance Cardio. The songs Put On by Young Jeezy and Kanye West, Run this Town by Pothemus Zone and Out Here Grindin' by Akon are guaranteed pump up songs for me though.
