Why do you play lacrosse?
I play Lacrosse because I am very passionate about the sport . I have been playing ever since Milford first started the youth program. Lacrosse is a sport that I can play year round so there is never a time in the year that I am not using my stick. The sport is very unique in that it requires a lot of team work and knowledge. Its not just a sport where you can for the first time play and be an all-star, it requires hard work and dedication and I enjoy that kind of challenge.
Why is the 2013 season going to be a good year for Milford High School?
This season is going to be a good season for Milford because we are a very senior based team. Since Milford has only had a high school Lacrosse program for a few years, me and my fellow senior classmates have had a lot of varsity experience. We also are very excited to be joining the Hockomock League. This league is a lot more experienced and competitive than what we are used to but that just makes our team want to go out and give it our best every game.
What is your favorite Milford lacrosse memory so far?
By far my favorite Milford Lacrosse memory was from the 2012 season when we played at Tantasqua. We went into the 4th quarter down by a few goals and we had an unbelievable comeback victory. I remember we tied it up with about 1 minute left in the game. They got the possession wiht the face off and took a shot to attempt to take the lead for the win. I made an unbelievable save off of my foot and my defense-man got the ground ball and threw it down the field to one of our attack-men who caught the ball with one hand and scored the game winning goal with a few seconds left.
What were your emotions when you played your first varsity game?
When I played my first varsity game I was extremely nervous and excited at the same time. I was only a sophomore so I was pretty scared to be standing in net at the varsity level.
What makes playing for Milford High School so special?
Being able to be apart of the very beginning stages of the Milford Lacrosse program is what makes playing for Milford so special. I also enjoy that I get to go out and play the game with my friends everyday
When you are not practicing what are you usually doing?
I am usually hanging out with my teammates and friends. Even when I am not practicing I enjoy watching Lacrosse and other sports games on TV.
