Aurian Dawkins had a big defensive touchdown for Worcester State this past weekend. Dawkins scooped up a fumble and ran 72 yards for a score. He also added four tackles and an interception on defense and on special teams had seven kick returns for a total of 124 yards. Dawkins' 72-yard fumble return was voted second in the MASCAC Football Fan Play of the Week. Fellow Mansfield alum Teddy Ferreira was second on the team with eight tackles.
Stoughton's Matt Green was named the Co-Offensive Player of the Week for both the MASCAC and the ECAC for his performance for the Bridgewater State football team last week. Green had a career-high 216 yards on eight catches for three touchdowns. Green scored the game-winning touchdown in the final minute and also had a 95 yard touchdown reception.
After earning conference honors two weeks ago, Sharon graduate Derrick Mann put in another solid performance for Assumption. The senior had seven tackles, including one for a loss of eight yards and a forced fumble as the Greyhounds rolled to another win.
Ashleigh Cretien had a pair of goals in the last two games for Westfield State. The North Attleboro product scored against Keene State and Worcester State in the past week. Chretien is third on the team in goals and points and is tied for first with eight assists.
Bentley's 31-0 win over the weekend was influenced by two Hockomock alum. Attleboro's Chris Walsh had six catches for 76 yards and the game's first touchdown while Mansfield's Jeff Hill had five catches for 78 yards.
North Attleboro's Alex Jette had a nice game for Brown University over the weekend. Jette led the Bears in rushing with 22 yards and also had two catches for a total of 58 yards, including a 23 yard touchdown reception in the second quarter. He also had four punt returns for 44 yards in Brown's win over Cornell.
Becker's Ryan Barry finished tied for third in points this season with a goal and two assists. The North Attleboro alum finished his four year career with three goals and seven assists for the Hawks.
Mass. Maritime freshman Alex Thompson scored his first collegiate goal at the right time for the Buccaneers. The Mansfield graduate found the back of the net for the equalizer with just over five minutes left in the game, which finished in a 2-2 tie.
Attleboro's Steven Cataldo put the icing on the cake for Rhode Island College in a win over Southern Maine on Saturday. With RIC up 3-1, Cataldo found the back of the net in the 90th minute.
Foxboro's Abby Tepper recorded a hat trick for Salve Regina field hockey on Wednesday. The three goals helped the Seahawks best Roger Williams by a score of 6-2. The junior leads Salve with 15 goals this season.
