What You Need To Know:
How did you get started and who introduced you to the sport?
I started off playing baseball until I was about ten years old. Then I switched to softball. I wanted to be as involved in the game as I could be so I started taking pitching lessons from my pitching coach Peter Looney who, unfortunately has recently passed away. Also, my dad has played a major role in my success. I've always practiced with him and since he has always pushed me to do my best, I developed a love for the game.
What's the best part about being on a team?
I believe the best part about being on a team is knowing the weight of the game doesn't lie only on my shoulders. Its great having teammates always there to pick you up and have your back.
What is the best part of playing for mansfield high school?
The best part of playing for Mansfield would have to be the passion all the kids have. Mansfield is big on our sports and I like how all of the teams are supported.
What are your goals for after high school?
After high school I will be attending Franklin Pierce University and I will continue to play softball there. Also, I plan on majoring in physical therapy.
What is your favorite softball memory?
My favorite softball memory would have to be when I pitched a perfect game last season and I had no clue until my coach, Jinneane Sperazza, came running out to me to give me a hug while yelling to let everyone know what had happened.
When you're not practicing, what can people find you doing?
Outside of softball I like to hang out with friends. I also like to keep active by going to the gym or doing something fun outdoors.
What are your pregame/ postgame rituals?
My game rituals are pretty simple. Sometimes I listen to music to pump me up but for the most part I just try to get focused and think about what I need to do to help my team win.
