Hock 5 - Boys Basketball (Updated 3/18/13)
Team | Record | News |
---|---|---|
1. Mansfield | (25-3) | Tragic that the season had to end the way it did. The good news? Boutler, Boen and Hill are only sophomores and will continue to give opponents nightmares from beyond the 3-point line for the next two seasons. - DL |
2. Milford | (20-4) | Milford capped off an incredible debut season in the Hockomock with an impressive run in the playoffs. Milford was easily the mystery team of the season and the playoffs, with both the Hockomock and central teams getting to know how talented they were first hand. Upsets over Wachusett and a D1 Central Championship upset over St. John’s – at WPI nonetheless – is something Milford should be incredibly proud of. - RL |
3. Franklin | (17-7) | It looked like the Panthers were going to do it again and shock Mansfield. The playoff loss shouldn’t overshadow a incredible season for the Panthers, who always end up turning a group of players into a well-oiled machine. Sam Bohmiller will surely be missed, but Chris Rodgers looks ready to take over. - RL |
4. Sharon | (17-8) | The Eagles made a run at the wide-open D2 South title before losing in a thriller to Scituate. With the duo of Jimmy Fritzson and Brian Mukasa coming back for next season, Sharon will have high expectation of another strong tourney run. - JP |
5. Taunton | (16-7) | The Tigers need to be given credit for a strong first season in the league and for knocking off CM in the playoffs before losing to no. 2 seed Newton North. Taunton also gave Mansfield more problems than any team in the league besides Franklin. - JP |
On The Edge: Foxboro (11-10)
