1. Stoughton | (16-8) | The Black Knights went from an inconsistent team to start the season to an offensive juggernaut by the time all was said and done. They lost just two of their last 12 games, including a 7-4 loss to the eventual D2 State Champions, Hingham. The future is bright though, with at least seven key players returning, including rising sophomore Jake Gibb. - RL |
2. Taunton | (14-8) | The Tigers will be disappointed with the first round loss to Dartmouth, but Taunton can be proud of winning the school's first Hockomock League title. Connor Johnson and Matt Nunes gave Coach Sylvia a formidable one-two punch on the mound and Taunton scrapped out close wins all season. - JP |
3. Sharon | (14-9) | After a hot start, the Eagles were met with struggling times, but were able to bounce back for a solid postseason run. There won’t be another player of Jake Fishman’s caliber playing for the Eagles soon, but they still return a strong core, including Will Ginsberg and Frank Sullivan. – RL |
4. Oliver Ames | (15-6) | Led by talented shortstop Dave MacKinnon, the Tigers raced out to a Davenport division title, but could not get past rival Sharon in the playoffs in front a huge crowd at Frothingham Park. Still, it was a great season for OA including a no. 2 seed in D2 South. - JP |
5. Milford | (14-8) | The Hawks were overshadowed by the softball team, but were solid in their first season in the Hockomock. Player of the Year candidate Mike Tracy and starter Eric Fernandes helped Milford into second place in the Davenport and into the second round of the tournament. - JP |
On The Edge: Franklin (12-9)
